Brian Sheehan, the founder of Wanderlust Ink, is a Croydon native who began his piercing journey in 2023. Passionate about anime, comics, and horror films, he channels his love for creativity into his work at the studio. When he's not piercing, he enjoys spending time with his family and continuing to build his dream studio.

Matt, our resident artist, began his tattooing journey in 2005 and brings years of experience to the studio. Originally from South Africa, his craft has taken him across the globe, working in South Africa, Australia, Thailand, and England. He holds a diploma in multimedia design and has spent his life immersed in fine arts. When he's not tattooing, Matt enjoys painting, exploring all things creative, and has even appeared in music videos. His passion lies in black and grey realism, specialising in portraits and animal designs.

Chakara, our resident piercer and junior artist hails from Southampton, Bermuda. She began her piercing journey in 2022 and qualified as a tattoo artist in 2025. Passionate about all forms of art—from tattoos and piercings to painting and music—her favourite tattoo style is black and grey realism, where her creativity truly shines. When she's not creating art, you’ll find her catching up with friends and enjoying the vibrant world around her.

James, our resident artist, began his tattoo journey in 2016. A history enthusiast and avid gamer, he draws inspiration from his passions, which shine through in his work. His favourite styles include black and grey, colour, horror, anime, watercolour, and illustrative tattoos—each piece crafted with dedication and creativity. When he’s not tattooing, James enjoys drawing, watching anime, gaming, and immersing himself in all things Star Wars.

Gayle began her tattooing journey in 2000 and recently joined the Wanderlust Ink team after owning Steel Point Tattoo for many years. She brings a wealth of knowledge and skill to every piece she creates. Outside of tattooing, Gayle has a passion for history and reenactments, which she enjoys in her spare time. She’s also an avid creator of custom jackets, adding her unique flair to each design. Her dedication to her craft and diverse interests make her a valued member of our team.
